Engelbert Humperdinck, nombre artístico de Arnold George Dorsey, es un cantante y actor británico nacido en Chennai (antes llamada Madrás), India, el 2 de mayo de 1936.

Nació en India cuando todavía dicho país pertenecía al Imperio británico. Su padre era ingeniero del ejército británico y su madre era cantante de ópera y le enseñó a tocar el violín. Es el menor de 10 hermanos. Se mudó a Inglaterra a la edad de 10 años a la ciudad de Leicester, ciudad con la que aún tiene fuertes vínculos. Ver Wikipedia

El cantante británico Engelbert Humperdinck hace una excelente versión de la canción 'A Man Without Love', de su álbum de 1968 del mismo nombre.

El tema original fue interpretado por el tenor escocés Kenneth McKellar en el Festival de Eurovisión de la Canción en representación de Gran Bretaña. En su presentación, llevó puesto un "kilt" escocés (falda). Fue un éxito en 1966. La cantante italiana Gigliola Cinquetti grabó una versión en italiano con el título "Quando M'Innamoro" y en español "Cuando Me Enamoro".

El nombre verdadero de Engelbert Humperdinck es Arnold George Dorsey. Nació el 2 de mayo de mayo de 1936. Es un cantante pop, muy conocido por sus éxitos 'Release Me' y "After the Lovin'". Tomó este nombre artístico del compositor alemán del siglo XIX Engelbert Humperdinck, conocido por su ópera "Hänsel und Gretel".
